Wire EDM

Harshman Machine and Tool Co. has full 5 axis EDM (Electronic Discharge Machine) capabilities. We do a variety of wire work including dies, punches, unusual shapes and parts that can not be done efficiently through milling or turning processes. We are capable of doing high precision work with tapers up to 30 degrees and holding tolerances within .0001 of an inch.

This is our fully submersible Agie wire machine. We can burn parts up to 7 inches thick with tapers up to 30 degrees. This machine is capable of 5 axis abilities; a part can actually have one shape at the top and transform to an entirely different shape at the bottom. We can also achieve surface finishes as fine as an 11 microfinish. All programming is done with CAD-CAM via a wire plug-in.
